Avi’s Residence was the two bedroom full Interior renovation project from slab to slab on 8th floor in the Landmark Building directly across Natural History Museum. The cantilevering moments throughout the space has been the main concept in this renovation to show spacial dynamics while gently bringing out the grace in the space.
INSPIRED BY THE FLOW OF WATER, THE EXPRESSION OF THE ABSTRACTED FLOW BECOMES THE SPACE. WALLS ARE BECOMING THE COLUMNS, CEILINGS, THEN FLOORS AGAIN. WHO DEFINED WHAT FLOORS OR WALLS SHOULD LOOK LIKE? WHO TAUGHT US THINGS ALWAYS HAVE TO BE THIS WAY OR THAT WAY? I CHALLENGE THE VERY DEFINITION OF ARCHITECTONICS WHILE CREATING BEAUTY OF THE SPACE IN SEARCHING FOR THE TRUE DEFINITION OF THESE BASICS. - ∏ 2018
The project Shown, captures the heart of a traditionalist with a blend of openness and freshness. The project features large open windows, double-height foyers, and warm and inviting living spaces. Grace in space, building, and nature plays a harmonious balance between each other.
